IAMRA Conferences
The biennial IAMRA Conference is the flagship event on the IAMRA Calendar. Typically running over 2 and a half days, the Conference focuses on the regulation of the medical and other health professions and regulatory best practice in areas including registration and licensure; complaints management and resolution; quality assurance of physicians’ practice; professional standards; global movement of the health workforce and medical education and assessment.
Following a call for applications, IAMRA enters into an agreement with a Member in good standing to be the Host Organization for each Conference. Subject to the terms of the agreement, the Host Organization is responsible for activities, including:
- Hiring a professional conference organiser (as required),
- Preparing and disseminating invitations and announcements about the Conference,
- Processing and managing Conference registrations, including collection of registration fees and other fees associated with Conference programming,
- Organizing a social program open to all attendees, including a welcome reception and attendee-optional Conference dinner, and
- Developing the Conference website, including provision for online registrations, guidelines for presentations, workshops and posters, a platform for abstract submissions, sponsorship, integration with a mobile application and information on accommodation, local transportation, Conference theme/sub-themes, detailed Conference program, learning outcomes and benefits of attendance.
