Kia ora koutou, rau rangatira mā – Greetings leaders and colleagues,
This month we have continued to support our members and fellow regulators in their core role of ensuring a safe and competent health workforce.
Workforce data
We are finalizing our plan of work that will guide our collaboration with the World Health Organization. One initiative is focused on the data we hold about the health workforce and the importance of making this accessible and available to help inform the decisions of policymakers and governments around the world on workforce issues.
Our upcoming webinar in late July will focus on the important issue of data - we will hear from colleagues around the world on how they have used data to inform and support policymaking. Further details to follow.
IAMRA symposium
See below for an update on the confirmed speakers for the IAMRA Symposium on AI and medical regulation, taking place on 20 September in Baltimore, USA and a reminder on how to register.
Physician Information Exchange
Our new Physician Information Exchange (PIE) database is live and we are pleased to see regulators already posting important information. The PIE provides for enhanced information sharing for regulators in the interests of public safety. We are planning further developments to this platform over the coming months – watch this space! For further information on PIE, please contact us at sheermans@iamra.com.
